March 14, 2014

Dubai, UAE

Drakken is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a fully integrated engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning contract by a major multi-national oil producer in northern Iraq.  The contract, currently underway, is destined for installation some 75km west of Erbil, Iraq.  The project is expected to run through Q4 of 2014.

The contract includes a green field oil production facility, complete with an export truck-loading terminal, and considerations for a phase-2 second train.  The Drakken team, based in Dubai UAE, is controlling aspects of engineering, site construction in Iraq, and procurement and expediting activities around the globe.

“This contract will demonstrate our proven ability to integrate complex projects within an extremely fast track early production framework,” said Ryan Arsenault, Director for Drakken.  Project Manager Ben Watts commented: “This project is being executed out of the Dubai facility, and will further bolster Drakken as a premiere integrator and project management firm in the region.”

In addition to engineering and construction management, Drakken' scope of supply will include the facility automation system, all fire and gas detection equipment, process instrumentation, electrical power distribution, and required field construction material.  Drakken will also manage the field construction for this scope of work, providing the necessary manpower to complete the installation.

Mr. Watts, an engineering technologist registered with ASET, and PMP certified project manager, has managed major projects domestically and abroad with successful project experience in Canada, Iraq, USA, Thailand and Mexico.

About the Field.

The block lies in a large exploration area with four structures mapped on high quality 2D seismic data and estimated to contain a total of 164 MMbbl of gross proved plus probable reserves, 200 MMbbl of best estimate gross contingent oil resources and 321 MMbbl of best estimate unrisked gross prospective oil resources with light and heavy oil prospectivity within multiple target reservoirs.  Recent successful exploration well on the license area resulted in a significant discovery.

The anticipated 50,000 BOPD for phase 1 installations will be exported by truck transport to the nearest tie in point to a pipeline or facility.
